Research into SEER Rockdust products

 Home Page

On very basic terms we can look on the application of SEER Rockdust to the soil as mimicking glaciation.   The specially selected SEER Rockdust has been brought up from the earth's mantle by a volcano, is over 420 millions years old and contains over 50 minerals and trace elements.   By grinding it up and applying it to the soil we are doing what the glaciers would naturallly do during the next ice age.   This is seen to significantly improve the soil.  This may be expected because, for example, plants grown in volcanic soils around the world are noted as being exceptionally healthy.   We are then led a bit futher into the mysteries of science because the process of improving the soils involves the absorption of atmospheric carbon into the soil.  In this way the soil can be seen as a "carbon sink" and the modern term for this process is "carbon-offsetting".    This then has very significant implications for helping to stabilise climate change.

When we try to fit this all onto a scientific template however things start to get complicated.    This is because the process just described goes deeply into so many different specialist scientific fields which, up until now, have had very little reason to meet.    These include the massive fields of Geology, Climatology, Ecology, Soil Science, Microbiology, Agriculture,  Nutrition, and Health etc etc.    To really understand what is going on we have to have a meeting of minds between all the different disciplines and, in this respect, we really are only just beginning.

Thanks to two artists however, Cameron and Moira Thomson, who co-founded the SEER Centre in Highland Perthshire, this ancient wisdom is available to us here and now in the UK.  This is in the shape of SEER Rockdust products that are provided by ourselves, Angus Horticulture Ltd.   So, whilst the scientists strive to understand the fine detail, there is nothing to stop us reaping the benefits, ie improving our crops, and our health!, safe in the knowledge that we are also doing our bit for climate change. Our growing bank of Testimonials coming in from a wider and wider range of users continues to give us the confidence that we have something very important here.

We know the materials and processes involved are totally natural AND we have the organic approval of two leading Organic Accreditation bodies, namely SOPA and OF&G to confirm this.    Whilst details of the availabilty of the products are provided elsewhere on this website here are a few papers and weblinks to help you investigate further:
